Work Package 1
Management and Coordination of the Action:
Work Package 1 is intended for all activities related to the general management and coordination of the action (meetings, coordination, project monitoring and evaluation, financial management).
Work Package 2
Support evidence-based policy making:
The objective of this work package is to support evidence-based policy-making in migrants’ integration in European SMTs. In particular this work package will provide policy advice for intervention through a comparative background analysis about:
- the regulatory framework about integration and participation of migrants;
- local policy networks role and efficiency in order to underline its strengths and weaknesses, and defining a strategy to enhance its work.
- the role of non institutional actors (advocacy groups, immigrants’ associations etc) in policy making.
Work Package 3
Stakeholder assessments:
The objectives of this work package are:
- The creation and consolidation of operative local networks of institutional and civil society actors involved in planning, implementation and/or fruition of integration policies, encouraging in particular immigrants and immigrant associations participation (one for each case study).
- The creation and consolidation of an international network of institutional and civil society actors involved in planning, implementation and/or fruition of integration policies, encouraging in particular immigrants and immigrant associations participation, in order to share knowledge and contextual experiences, encouraging stakeholders’ assessment of contextual practices.
Work Package 4
Promotion of active civic and political participation:
The objectives of this work package are:
- Promoting civic and political participation of local networks fostering a dialogue, discussion and assessment among local actors (natives and immigrants) and supporting the creation of competent local communities of stakeholders.
- Co-production of a White Paper on immigrants participation and welcoming communities through participatory writing workshops.
Work Package 5
Implementation of integration policy experiments
The objective of this work package is to promote the implementation of local integration policy experiments in SMTs, aimed at putting into practice local authorities’ capacity-building; fostering immigrants’ knowledge and access to services, and their active participation in the design, implementation and/or evaluation of local measures. In each country – starting from partners and target local cases – at least one local “policy experiment” will be implemented. These will start from specific policy lines in each local case, and in particular: advisory and participation councils in Bebra and Ninove; reception of refugees and unaccompanied minors in Voios; immigrant services information desk in Fermignano.
Work Package 6
Communication and dissemination activities
The objective of this work package is to promote project outputs and outcomes, and disseminate knowledge and capacity building tools resulting from PISTE’s activities, with proper communication and dissemination activities, including the implementation of a website which collects information for immigrants’ associations, advocacy groups and policy makers with reference to migration and integration policy in SMTs, self-produced videos and social media material, and factsheet about the implemented activities.
